Apportionments

Through the United Methodist Church we are blessed to contribute to apportionments. This is money which we as United Methodists use to support local, regional, state, national and international ministries. For instance, apportionments given by United Methodists have supported the food pantry here at the church, traveling Bible Schools throughout Southwest Iowa, homeless ministries in Des Moines, flood relief in Cedar Rapids, new church starts throughout the state of Iowa, poverty relief work in South Dakota, the Appalachian Mountains, and inner cities, as well as healing ministries, education ministries, and evangelism efforts throughout the world. The United Methodist connection, supported in part through apportionments, is a blessing we are thankful to be a part of.
